• Hours: Night Shift Weekends — Saturday / Sunday 8:00 p.m. - 8:30 a.m. PRN, approximately 12 hours per month.

Position Description :

The Visit Nurse is responsible for making after-hours visits to patients when assigned and dispatched by the triage nurse. The Visit Nurse provides acute symptom management and end-of-life care to terminally ill patients and support for their caregivers, according to agency policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements :

• High School diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, with motivation to work with the dying and bereaved
• Valid, unencumbered LPN or RN licensure in Kansas and Missouri required
• Minimum one (1) year relevant work experience in caring for terminal patients and others with life-threatening illnesses required
• Ability to demonstrate clinical judgment and decision-making based on knowledge and skill in caring for patients with life-limiting illness required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite preferred
• Prior working knowledge of Electronic Medical Systems (EMRs) required; prior experience with Suncoast preferred
• Valid CPR certification required
