Job summary

Lindentx in McKinney, TX seeks an Executive Director to lead our destination marketing efforts and drive growth for the community’s tourism economy. You will elevate partnerships with hotels, venues, and local businesses to turn marketing into hotel stays, group bookings, and vibrant downtown activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in the convention, visitors, hospitality, or tourism.
• One year of supervisory experience with ability to recruit, train, and develop staff.
• Valid Class C Texas driver's license or ability to obtain one on hire.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in the convention, visitors, hospitality, or tourism field
• One year of supervisory experience with a proven ability to recruit, train, and develop staff
• Valid Class C Texas driver's license, or the ability to obtain one upon hire
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) or Texas Destination Marketer (TDM) designation
• Senior leadership within a convention and visitors bureau or destination marketing organization
• Experience partnering with a board of directors on strategy, policy, and annual planning
• A track record in destination sales, group business, and brand-driven marketing campaigns
• Experience managing hotel occupancy tax budgets and public sector reporting
