The role spans AVIM&O, CVSS, and Pet+ER across the CVRC network, with daily collaboration with cardiology, neurology and ophthalmology teams.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and Maryland licensure eligibility.
• Board certification in a recognized veterinary specialty.
• Proven leadership or mentorship experience.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary specialty teams.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership while maintaining an active specialty caseload.
• Oversee medical standards and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Partner with Hospital Director to support operations and growth.
• Mentor veterinarians through coaching and case consultation.
• Lead medical rounds, journal clubs, and continuing education.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of staff.
• Strengthen referral relationships with veterinarians and specialists.
• Contribute to medical and operational strategy for the campus.
