Job summary

South College is seeking a full-time Program Director for the Respiratory Therapy Program at the Orlando campus. The Director will provide leadership for program planning, scheduling, accreditation communication, and fiscal management, reporting directly to the Campus Academic Dean under the Campus President.

The position requires leadership and commitment to innovative, relevant education for students, collaboration with clinical sites, and overall program development to maintain accreditation

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a healthcare related field required.
• Masters or Doctorate preferred for advanced leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with faculty to promote commitment and results.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Lead program initiation including securing clinical sites, accreditation, and budget allocations.
• Organize student advising procedures.
• Organize faculty teaching loads and class schedules.
• Develop collaborations with other colleges for inter-professional education.
• Coordinate with main campus for planning and assessment.
• Represent the program in the community.
• Provide instruction for courses each quarter.

Education
