Qualifications

• Board-certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in pediatric hospital medicine.
• Demonstrated leadership or program development experience.
• Qualifications for appointment at the Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at VCU.
• Provide strategic oversight for clinical, academic, and educational missions.
• Mentor faculty across career stages.
• Oversee the ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship.
• Maintain an active clinical presence as a pediatric hospitalist.
• Collaborate with leadership on growth and inpatient capacity expansion.
• Guide quality, safety, and systems-based care in a large academic setting.
