Job summary

Daemen University invites applications for the position of Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Director. This is a full-time, 12-month, tenure track faculty position in the Physical Therapy Department with an immediate negotiable start date, but no later than starting September 01, 2027.

The Program Director provides strategic leadership for the DPT program, ensuring accreditation compliance and continuous quality improvement while guiding curriculum development and faculty mentorship within

Qualifications

Licensed physical therapist with active PT license in a US jurisdiction.
Earned academic doctoral degree in a related field (PhD/EdD/DSc or equivalent).
Academic qualifications for appointment at Associate/Professor levels.
Experience in higher education administration and leadership.
Familiarity with CAPTE accreditation standards and processes.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the DPT program and its faculty, staff, and students.
Lead program assessment, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement.
Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and evidence-based education.
Maintain communication with stakeholders and external partners.
Mentor and evaluate faculty; promote professional development.
Foster inclusive environments and equitable educational practices.
Manage program resources, budgeting, staffing, and facilities.
Engage in institutional governance and accreditation-related activities.
Represent the DPT program within university governance and externally.
