Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Director of the Disability Cultural Center to provide visionary leadership and run the day-to-day operations of the center. You will shape strategic direction, build programmatic infrastructure, and engage faculty, staff, and students to elevate disability culture on campus.

Reporting to the Executive Director for Student Disability and Accessibility Services, you will manage staff, budget, and outreach, while partnering with campus organizations to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Significant professional experience in higher education, disability services, student affairs, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, program development, and organizational leadership.
• Experience supervising staff, which may include student employees.
• Demonstrated experience with budget management and financial oversight.
• Strong knowledge of disability culture and community in higher education contexts.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement programs that advance disability culture and community.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and departments to develop mission-aligned programs.
• Develop strategic approaches to engage the campus community in disability culture initiatives.
• Utilize the DCC space creatively to support community building.
• Maintain best practices for engaging diverse campus groups in higher education.
