Job summary

Bronx Banco, a New York-based contemporary luxury fashion house, seeks a Design & Collection Director to lead the development of collections from concept through production. You will work directly with the Founder & Creative Director to translate creative vision into cohesive, commercially viable lines, managing multiple collections with an eye on quality and market demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in design, contemporary luxury or premium fashion.
• Proven experience leading design teams and managing collections from concept through bulk production.
• Exceptional knowledge of garment construction, technical design, fittings, fabrics and embellishments.
• Strong experience working directly with overseas factories, preferably in China.
• Experience attending and overseeing fashion campaign and e-commerce photoshoots.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of wholesale and retail markets.
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and accountability.
• A proactive, energetic, passionate and hands‑on approach to leadership.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Founder & Creative Director to translate creative concepts into cohesive, innovative and commercially successful collections.
• Oversee seasonal collections from initial sketches, fabric sourcing and design development through final production approval.
• Lead research into silhouettes, fabrics, embellishments, construction techniques and emerging trends.
• Ensure consistency in brand identity, fit, quality and design execution.
• Work closely with sales and merchandising teams to incorporate commercial insights and customer feedback.
• Take full ownership of sample development, ensuring accuracy from prototype to final sample.
• Oversee fittings, construction, fabric quality, embellishments and technical specifications.
• Ensure production reflects approved samples with correct fit, materials and finishing.
• Review pre-production and production samples, identify discrepancies and ensure corrections.
• Collaborate with overseas factories to maintain exceptional quality standards and resolve issues.
