The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine seeks an exceptional leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The Chair will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Department, advancing research, education, clinical care, and service, and will foster collaboration across UCSF, UCSF Health, and affiliated institutions.

The candidate must hold an MD and/or PhD (or equivalent) and demonstrate outstanding leadership,

• Distinguished record in leadership, research, education, faculty development, and organizational management.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for a complex academic/clinical environment.
• MD and/or PhD, or equivalent degree, is required.
