Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology and Ohio licensure eligibility.
• Proven scholarly productivity and extramural funding preferred.
• Leadership experience in an academic medical center.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
• Oversee clinical, research, and educational missions of the department.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, JCAHO).
• Drive quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives in laboratory services.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across UC and affiliated health systems.
• Advance research programs and support grant and publication activity.
• Enhance residency and fellowship education in pathology and laboratory medicine.
• Represent the department in institutional and external partnerships.
