Job summary

Archdiocese of New York is seeking a Catholic School Principal for the 2027-2028 academic year. The 12-month at-will position will lead school operations and ensure fidelity to Catholic education principles.

The principal will serve as the building administrator, guiding instructional planning, data-driven decisions, and the integration of technology into curriculum, while upholding the Archdiocese's mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
• Master's Degree is required.
• Level 1 and Level 2 Catechist certification required or a willingness to complete both levels within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, coordinate and oversee instructional planning.
• Provide for articulation of the New York State Next Generation Standards within the school.
• Utilize testing data to make data driven decisions to enhance student performance.
• Encourage the faculty to utilize a variety of instructional methodologies and resources to enhance student learning and improve student performance on assessments.
• Provide counsel and leadership as needed to move the integration of technology forward into curriculum.
