Job summary

The Director of Camp and Retreat Ministries leads the Upper New York Conference CRM, guiding site directors and staff. You will ensure best practices in operations, financial stewardship, risk management, and high-quality program delivery across all CRM sites, helping campers and guests experience God’s love through community and nature.

This role partners with the CRM Staff Lead Team to shape strategic plans, oversees budgets and facilities, drives enrollment and marketing, and ensures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with staff at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of the mission and values of the Upper New York Conference.
• Experience with Camp and Retreat Ministries is preferred.
• Strong leadership and collaborative team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Convene and guide the CRM Staff Lead Team (Site Directors and staff).
• Provide strategic leadership for CRM including long-range planning and budgets.
• Oversee financial health, reporting, and adherence to revenue and budget goals.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy and enrollment plans.
• Ensure safety, maintenance, and capital planning across all CRM facilities.
• Supervise Site Directors and coordinate with HR for compliant employment practices.
