Job summary

Nipro Pharmapackaging Americas Corporation in Indiana seeks a skilled technician to operate and maintain vision inspection equipment. You will configure cameras and lighting, set parameters, and ensure accurate readings while documenting all changes in the system log.

You will train QA inspectors and vial technicians on vision system fundamentals, perform routine maintenance, and assist with electrical duties as needed, keeping a safe, clean work area and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Computer and math skills required.
• Experience with vision systems and calibration procedures.
• Must be able to perform electrical duties in plant when needed.
• Safety and lockout/tagout procedures must be followed.
• Willingness to be cross-trained as a mechanic.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up vision system parameters, cameras, and lighting.

• Operate or assist with fork truck as needed.

• Support continuous improvements and safety.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for set-up, maintenance, training and operation of vision inspection equipment. Document all changes made to the system.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Set up vision system. Set all computer parameters. Adjust cameras and light source.
• Set up all mechanical aspects of the vision system when necessary, including ware orientors, transfers and shrinkers
• Utilize blueprints and comparator readings to set dimensional limits.
• Utilize knowledge of visual defects to set visual limits.
• Compile sample sets for setting up calibration and challenging according to procedure.
• Maintain and clean vision system equipment daily.
• Document all changes, settings, upgrades, maintenance, etc. to vision system equipment in log at each system.
• Maintain a neat and clean area.
• Must perform electrical duties in the plant when necessary.
• Perform other computer-oriented duties in the plant when necessary.
• Train QA inspector / packers and vial technicians on fundamentals of vision system.
• Communication – written and oral. (both internal and external customers)
• Communicate with supervisor.
• Report changes to Production Mgr., Quality Mgr., and Maintenance. Mgr.
• Use lock out tag out procedures.
• Be Crossed trained as a mechanic to fill in as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance as scheduled for various equipment.
• Required as needed to have company issued fork truck license and operating fork truck when necessary.
• Review upcoming jobs, stage components, and sign off on documentation as required.
• CMMS input of work orders as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned
