RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking an entry-level Test & Integration System Engineer to join the Systems Integration and Test team onsite. You will support IV&V, DVT, and production testing for EO/IR focal plane sensor systems.

You will develop test plans, execute product tests, and help define requirements and procedures. A STEM degree and basic lab exposure are required; LABVIEW and MATLAB skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Preliminary exposure to basic laboratory equipment in an academic or internship setting
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job, research, coursework or projects.

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand‑in‑hand with our customers. This is an Entry Level Role onsite in Goleta, CA.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Preliminary exposure to the use of basic laboratory equipment in an academic or internship setting (e.g. one or more of the following: power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzer, 3D printers, hobbyist electronics, etc.) Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis
• Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
• Prior internship, co‑op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
