Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking an entry level Test & Integration System Engineer for the Raytheon Intelligence & Space division. Work involves IV&V, DVT, and production testing to support EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems, developing test plans, executing product tests, and validating system performance with customers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and hands-on lab experience with test equipment; U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• Laboratory equipment in an academic or internship setting (e.g., oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzer, power supplies).
• Experience with integrating firmware, software, and hardware is preferred.

Raytheon Intelligence & Space, Vision Systems (RVS) Systems Integration and Test Department is seeking an entry level Test & Integration System Engineer. In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

What You Will Do:

• Support integration, verification and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing to support the delivery of EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems.


• Develop test plans and execute product test activities in support of engineering and production builds.


• Execute technical decisions and apply standard engineering methods within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities organization.


• Develop requirements, generate test procedures, integrate new systems, perform system testing, and support lifecycle requirements for assigned program systems

Qualification You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and prior relevant experience with integrating firmware, software, and hardware and power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and/or spectrum analyze


• Laboratory equipment in an academic or internship setting (e.g., one or more of the following: power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzer, 3D printers, hobbyist electronics, etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Laboratory equipment for design testing and/or troubleshooting technical issues


• LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis


• Electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols


• Instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
