Job summary

Rite-Hite, a global leader in loading dock and door equipment, is seeking a Systems Architect, Camera and Vision Technologies to define architecture for camera hardware, vision pipelines, and edge processing across devices.

You will partner with product management, AI/ML, hardware, and software teams to deliver scalable, secure visual sensing solutions that improve safety, productivity, and customer value in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related field required; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years delivering camera- or vision-enabled systems in industrial/edge environments.
• Experience with connected, automated, or safety-critical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and standards for camera hardware, vision pipelines, and edge-based vision processing.
• Drive strategic use of camera and vision technologies to enable safety, productivity, automation, and maintenance use cases.
• Partner with product management and engineering to enable vision-based capabilities such as event detection, situational awareness, and condition monitoring.
• Guide architectural decisions related to camera selection, optics, illumination, environmental constraints, and edge compute limitations.
• Promote reuse and interoperability of camera and vision components across products and platforms.
• Define patterns for integration with edge AI/ML, device software, hybrid mobile apps, and cloud platforms.
