Job summary

Universal Instruments seeks a Vision Software Engineer I to research, design, and develop vision software for hardware products. You will build modules for vision interfaces, image processing, and statistical modeling, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers.

The role emphasizes learning new protocols and tools, contributing to product performance, and participating in publication/documentation activities. On-site with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant major.
• 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with machine vision and image processing tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, design, and implement software modules and complex systems.
• Develop applications for vision interfaces, statistical modeling, and image processing.
• Collaborate with engineers on product performance requirements and development.
• Assist in defining machine architecture and roadmaps as needed.
• Work with GIT and JIRA to coordinate tasks with the team.
