Job summary

The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) to join our Toledo-based team. This full-time role focuses on helping clients adjust to vision loss through compensatory skills training and assistive technology to support education, employment, and independent living.

The CVRT collaborates with rehabilitation professionals, maintains thorough documentation, and adheres to ethical guidelines while fostering client empowerment and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Teaching, Special Education, or related field.
• CVRT certification by ACVREP required; meet education level for certification.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation teaching per ACVREP standards to develop daily living skills.
• Provide compensatory skills training using assistive technology and non-visual strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports per policy; ensure confidentiality and ethics.
• Intervene on client concerns and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
