Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing and integrating optical machine vision systems.
• Experience working in an automated machinery environment.
• Knowledge of industrial cameras, lenses, mirrors, beam splitters, machine vision lighting, and strobed LED illumination.
• SolidWorks, GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM and DFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all project phases including design, testing, integration and validation.
• Design precision mechanical assemblies for industrial machine vision systems.
• Support development of next‑generation semiconductor test equipment.
• Design camera mounts, optical fixtures, illumination assemblies, protective enclosures and alignment mechanisms.
• Integrate cameras, optics, sensors and lighting into automated machinery.
• Perform tolerance stack‑up analysis and GD&T.
• Design for manufacturability and design for assembly.
• Prototype and evaluate new mechanical concepts.
• Conduct root cause investigations for mechanical and system issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate commercial components.
• Support prototype builds, validation testing and manufacturing release.
• Work with large mechanical systems, optical components, electromechanical systems and automation equipment.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electromechanical, optical and automation teams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, optical and automation related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
