Qualificações

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsabilidades

• Establish long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Verbal interview with patient to assess health and ocular history.
• Instruct and advise on remediation options for refractive and ocular issues.
• Promote optometry and practice values to patients and staff.
• Perform vision tests and analyze results.
• Diagnose sight problems such as refractive errors and eye disease.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Recommend treatments like vision therapy when indicated.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery.
• Evaluate patients for systemic diseases and refer when needed.
• Educate patients on eye health and lens care, including contact lenses.
