Position Summary: Lead the Vision Center team to achieve sales and customer service excellence. Drive product visibility, pricing accuracy, inventory management, and forecasting while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. Provide coaching, training, and recognition to Associates, fostering a culture of belonging, continuous improvement, and high performance. Represent Walmart in community outreach and support Walmart’s values of integrity, customer focus, and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, pricing accuracy, proper signage, and optimal inventory levels.
- Budget and forecast sales while assessing economic trends and community needs.
- Model and enforce proper Customer–Member service approaches, ensuring timely resolution of complaints and issues.
- Oversee implementation of community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as community ambassadors.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies through analysis of reports, implementation of asset protection and safety controls, and execution of quality assurance reviews.
- Develop Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing achievements, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Provide quality eyewear service: consult with Members, select products, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidential information, perform minor frame repair, and maintain optical equipment.
- Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments, develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and support initiatives to meet customer and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

- Previous experience supervising Associates.
