America's Best is seeking an optometric technician to support the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing prior to exams. No prior optical certification required; training is provided. Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and speaking both English and Spanish.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of doctor’s office and pretest room.
• Understand ocular terminology and diseases and ocular abbreviations.
• Explain to patients the types of preliminary examinations.
• Complete paperwork and perform tests prior to doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients.
• Perform exam pre-screening.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identifying special needs; consult with staff as needed.
• Ensure equipment for Doctor and pre-test is properly maintained.
