Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a dedicated security associate in Connecticut to provide a visible security presence at the assigned supply chain location. You will patrol interior and exterior areas, monitor CCTV, and perform safety audits to ensure Lowe’s Safe environment.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, coordinating with fleet drivers, and maintaining certifications. A High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years of retail security experience, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1-2 years retail, security, first-responder, or military experience (or related field).
• 1-2 years big-box retail, security, or military experience.
• Driver’s license required.
• Security license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and proactive physical security and safety presence at the assigned location.
• Validate building security throughout the day (gates, doors, access control, perimeter).
• Engage with fleet drivers per CT PAT guidelines.
• Perform safety and security audits using handheld devices.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas, on foot or via company vehicle.
• De-escalate incidents involving associates, visitors, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to enforce policies.
• Report suspicious behavior and safety hazards to leadership.
• Complete detailed incident reports in the case management system.
• Monitor CCTV to detect unauthorized activities.
• Attend monthly Safety Team meetings.
• Maintain required certifications and licenses.
• Participate in court hearings if applicable; maintain relations with local law enforcement.
