Job summary

FullShift Staffing is seeking an LVN in Visalia to provide nursing care within scope of practice and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of infection control and participate in quality improvement, educate patients and families, and perform medication and treatment administration per policy. Rounds with physicians may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and use of Infection Control Manual.
• Supports Quality Improvement Program implementation.
• Uses Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Educates patients and families.
• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders per Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
