Full-Time Pharmacist, Prescription Intake - PV1 (Sign-on bonus available)

Location: Remote – Onsite training (Houston, TX 77018), then Fully Remote

Available Shifts (PV1):

1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends

2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends

3rd Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends

(Each shift includes a 1-hour lunch break.)

Revive Rx Pharmacy is expanding and looking for a detail-oriented, patient-focused Full-Time Prescription Intake Pharmacist to join our team. In this critical role, you’ll oversee prescription intake, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective communication across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Prescription Intake & Verification

Receive prescriptions via electronic systems, fax, and phone

Verify prescription details: patient information, medications, dosages, prescriber information, DEA numbers

Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, pharmacy policies, and insurance requirements

Data Entry & System Management

Accurately input and maintain prescription data in the pharmacy management system

Update patient profiles with allergies, medication history, and insurance information

Identify and correct data discrepancies

Clinical Review & Patient Safety

Review medication orders for drug interactions, allergies, duplicate therapies, and dosage appropriateness

Communicate with prescribers for clarification or corrections

Document all clinical interventions per pharmacy standards

Patient Communication & Support

Provide medication counseling on usage, side effects, storage, and administration

Address patient inquiries related to prescriptions, insurance coverage, co-pays, and prior authorizations

Ensure a positive patient experience by resolving concerns professionally

Collaboration & Workflow Management

Partner with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and external providers for seamless prescription processing

Guide pharmacy team members to maintain an efficient workflow

Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate, confidential records of prescription intake per HIPAA and pharmacy regulations

Conduct regular audits of records and intake processes

Support internal/external audits

Training, Development & Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices

Participate in ongoing training and software system updates

Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives

Other Duties As Assigned

Assist in additional pharmacy operations as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution

Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in Texas

Minimum 3–4 years of experience in prescription intake and prior authorization processes; remote work experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills
