About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our network of education professionals for a full-time, school-based assignment.

As part of a collaborative special education team, you will support students with a variety of communication needs while helping ensure educational access, academic success, and compliance with all applicable state and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluation & Assessment
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA, Child Find requirements, state regulations, and district standards.
  • Follow district guidelines for informed consent practices and data-based decision-making regarding evaluation needs.
  • Complete initial evaluations, report writing, and data entry within state, federal, and district timelines.
  • Establish eligibility and discuss programming recommendations with ARD committee members for students with speech impairments.
  • Ensure compliance with district expectations regarding evaluation and assessment processes.
Therapy & Student Services
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic strategies and assistive technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
  • Monitor student academic and functional progress in coordination with general education personnel.
  • Provide parents with written progress updates regarding IEP goals and objectives in accordance with district and ARD timelines.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, department meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate with campus personnel to provide appropriate services for students with suspected or confirmed communication disabilities.
  • Assist with training and staff development for general education staff, special education staff, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
Qualifications
Required
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Preferred
  • Previous school-based speech-language pathology experience.
  • Experience with IEP development and special education compliance.
  • Understanding of FAPE and IDEA requirements in public education.
