Job summary

Career Links is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our school-based network for a full-time assignment. You'll deliver therapy, support students with communication challenges, and collaborate with a dedicated special education team to promote academic and social success.

This role offers competitive pay of $48–$70 per hour DOE, sign-on bonus with relocation assistance, mentorship for CFs, caseload support, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required.
  • State Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain) is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA and state standards.
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports and service logs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents and related service providers to support student goals.
  • Attend IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic strategies including AAC.
  • Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions for diverse populations.
  • Provide training to classroom staff to generalize communication strategies.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our network of education professionals for a full-time, school-based assignment. In this role, you'll provide therapy services and support to students with a variety of communication challenges, contributing to their academic and social success.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative special education team, with access to resources, mentorship (for CFs), and manageable caseloads.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA and state standards.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.

Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments.

Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs to ensure legal and ethical compliance.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student goals.

Attend and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.

Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic strategies and technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions to support diverse student populations.

Provide training or guidance to classroom staff, if applicable, to generalize communication strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist

State Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain)

Valid Driver’s License

Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Preferred:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA

Experience working in a public school setting or with IEPs

Familiarity with Medicaid billing practices and compliance

Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations

Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply — CF supervision available!
