About the Team

Michigan Online School (MOS) is a K-12 tuition-free online public school in Michigan, empowering students to learn at their own pace using innovative technology. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with district staff, teachers, parents, and students to provide diagnostic and intervention services for speech, language, and hearing disorders, facilitating access to the general education curriculum.

Please note – while this is an online position, travel and face-to-face attendance are required several times per year for state testing and student events.

Eligibility

Open to residents of Michigan.

Responsibilities

1. Provide high-quality virtual speech-language therapy to students in grades K-12.
2. Conduct assessments, analyze results, and write reports on speech, language, and related areas.
3. Develop child and family-centered treatment plans.
4. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines, including MARSE.
5. Participate in IEP, MET, and evaluation procedures, ensuring timely evaluations and goal setting.
6. Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to parents and staff.
7. Collaborate with educational teams and develop treatment objectives aligned with standards.
8. Attend meetings, participate in professional development, and support student communication development.
9. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Michigan SLP license and compliance with MARSE.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google applications, and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for teaching and genuine care for children.
• Ability to analyze data and work collaboratively in diverse settings.
• Completion of required background checks and physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
