Please note – while this is an online position with virtual instruction, travel and face-to-face attendance will be required several times per year for in-person state testing and student events.

Working collaboratively with district supervisors, teachers, parents, and students, the Speech Language Pathologist shall provide diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders, helping them access and succeed in the general education curriculum.

Eligibility: This position is open to Ohio residents.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing high-quality virtual speech-language therapy to students in grades K-12.
2. Conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports on motor speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, literacy, and dysphagia.
3. Developing child and family-centered, strength-based treatment plans.
4. Ensuring compliance with IEP, ETR, and progress monitoring guidelines.
5. Monitoring student progress and adapting treatment plans accordingly.
6. Participating in IEP and ETR meetings, providing documentation timely.
7. Collaborating with educational team members and acting as case manager for students with speech and language disabilities.
8. Aligning treatment objectives with Common Core Standards.
9. Guiding teachers and caregivers in implementing classroom strategies and identifying students needing evaluations.
10. Developing daily schedules and conducting hearing screenings, interpreting results for referrals.
11. Attending staff meetings and pursuing ongoing professional development.
12. Supporting effective communication skills across all language levels and participating in intervention processes.
13. Maintaining district software for compliance and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate certification/licensure.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google applications, email, and internet.
• Strong content knowledge and genuine care for children.
• Ability to analyze student data and make educational decisions.
• Flexibility, integrity, teamwork, and cultural awareness.
• Understanding of state testing and standards.
• Satisfactory criminal background and health checks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
