Role Specifications
This position involves 35 hours weekly supporting middle and high school students with special needs. Your caseload will include 40-45 students requiring specialized instruction in functional academics, life skills, and transitional services. You'll utilize interactive virtual platforms to deliver engaging, standards-based curriculum.
Primary Duties
Design and implement evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to individual student goals. Conduct virtual IEP meetings, progress monitoring sessions, and parent conferences. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations.
Required Credentials
Applicants must possess valid Ohio special education licensure and Master's degree in Special Education, Intervention Specialist, or equivalent field. Minimum two years of special education teaching experience in school settings is required. Experience with virtual instruction methods and assistive technology is highly preferred.
Technology Expectations
Successful candidates will demonstrate comfort with video conferencing platforms, educational software, and digital curriculum resources. Your workspace must support professional virtual interactions with students, families, and colleagues throughout the school day.
