What You Will Be Doing

• Teach large, whole-class lessons or lecture from a fixed curriculum
• Follow a pre-scripted program without adapting to student needs and real-time feedback
• Act as a passive "software monitor" without meaningful instruction and connection

Virtual Reading Specialist Key Responsibilities

Own outcomes for grades 3-8 - measurable gains in fluency and comprehension - by delivering personalized virtual interventions and motivation support that builds confidence.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
• Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification)
• Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3-8
• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
• Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction
• Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
• Available to work in a hybrid capacity in Arizona as needed.
