Job summary

HealthTexas Primary Care Doctors is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive outpatient care. The physician will manage Medicare Advantage populations, and provide preventive and chronic care in a clinic setting with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule.

The role includes supervising Advanced Practice Clinicians and coordinating care across services to achieve strong health outcomes for adult patients in the San Antonio, Boerne, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine preferred.
• Texas Medical License; DEA license; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Treat internal disorders such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and diseases of the lung, brain, kidney, and GI tract.
• Manage chronic illnesses and provide long-term, comprehensive care for adults in a clinic.
• Prescribe medications and therapies and explain procedures to patients and families.
• Coordinate care, review test results, and ensure prevention and health maintenance for patients.
• Provide same-day urgent care and outreach for at-risk patients.
• Supervise APCs (PAs and NPs) as needed.
