Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Virtual Primary Care Physician Assistant to provide remote primary care to incarcerated patients via a secure telemedicine platform. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited education program for PAs.
• Minimum of one year correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Unrestricted license/certification/registration in each state of practice.

How you make a difference

The Virtual Primary Care Physician Assistant provides care to incarcerated patients remotely via a secure telemedicine platform. Responsibilities include conducting history and physical exams, managing sick call visits, and documenting in the EMR. The PA collaborates with onsite clinical staff and ensures care follows clinical protocols and HIPAA compliance standards. This role includes patient and staff education and participation in quality assurance initiatives. The PA may also support acute care and psychiatric evaluations in conjunction with supervising physicians.

Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

• Completion of an accredited education program for PAs

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one (1) year correctional healthcare experience preferred

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Unrestricted current license, certification, or registration in EACH state of practice

• Must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.
