Job summary

HCA HealthOne in Denver seeks a Virtual Telemetry Technician to monitor patients remotely from our city-center Telemetry Center. This on-site role requires living in the Denver market and works across seven hospitals.

You will interpret cardiac rhythms, notify RNs of abnormalities, document patient status, and uphold patient privacy. A BLS certification and a high school diploma are required; ECG/Arrhythmia training is preferred and prior acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must live in the Denver market.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• ECG/Arrhythmia course completed and acute clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Notify the primary RN/charge RN when patient parameters are outside established range.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, heart rate, and arrhythmias and communicate abnormalities to nurses/physicians.
• Create clear, accurate documentation on patient status during shift.
• Respect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Job Summary And Qualifications

This position will be on site at our Denver Virtual Center.

You will monitor patients remotely with us across our seven hospitals.

The Virtual Telemetry Technician (TT) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by continuously observing and monitoring cardiac rhythms and other vital signs from a centralized monitoring location, assuring a safe patient care environment.

Essential Job Functions

• You will notify the primary RN or charge RN when patient parameters and waveforms are outside of established parameters in accordance with division policy.
• You will interpret cardiac rhythms, heart rate, and arrhythmias and communicate abnormalities to nurses and physicians.
• You will create clear, accurate documentation on patient status and activity during the shift.
• You will demonstrate and respect patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.

Requirements

Must live in the Denver market. This is an on-site job.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Successful completion of a Basic ECG/Arrythmia course preferred.
• Minimum of at least six months of experience in an acute clinical setting preferred
• Demonstrates good organizational skills.
• Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Values & Standards.
