Elevance Health is seeking a Medical Director to oversee medical services administration, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality care for members within the National Accounts line of business. The role entails clinical consultation, program development, and strategic guidance to improve outcomes and drive value for large clients and their members.

The position supports a virtual work model with some in-person training, offering flexibility and collaboration across national accounts.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification (ABMS or AOA) is required.
• Active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or a health profession.
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience or equivalent background.

Responsabilités

• Works independently with oversight from the immediate manager.
• Oversees utilization management and supports care management nursing staff.
• Provides guidance for clinical operational aspects for the client(s).
• Conducts peer-to-peer clinical reviews with attending physicians.
• Represents the company to external entities and serves on committees.
• Interprets medical policies and clinical guidelines.
• Directs, and implements clinical activities that impact quality and costs.
• Identifies opportunities for innovation to increase effectiveness and quality.
