Virtual High School Resource Teacher - Special Education Specialist - Carson City NV

VocoVision is seeking a Virtual Special Education Teacher to provide resource support for high school students in Carson City, Nevada. Our remote special education services help bridge the gap between student needs and educator expertise, regardless of geographic barriers.

Position Details
  • Full-time position (37.5 hours weekly)
  • High school focus (grades 9-12)
  • Resource room and inclusion support model
  • Typical caseload of 45-55 students
  • Emphasis on academic support and transition planning
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for high school students
  • Provide specialized instruction in core academic areas through virtual platforms
  • Support students with organization, study skills, and executive functioning
  • Collaborate with general education teachers on appropriate accommodations
  • Monitor student progress toward graduation requirements and IEP goals
  • Facilitate transition planning for post-secondary outcomes
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings with educational teams and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services
Required Qualifications
