Remote ASL Interpreter Opportunity
This virtual position allows you to support student learning from your home office, ensuring students have full access to academic content and social interactions.

Position Parameters

  • 32.5-37.5 hours per week, based on school schedule
  • Focus on middle and high school students in mainstream settings
  • Daily schedule typically between 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Interpreting across varied subject areas
  • Supporting students with diverse communication preferences
  • Collaborating with educational teams remotely

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide ASL interpretation for classroom instruction and discussions
  • Facilitate student participation in class activities and group work
  • Voice interpret student communications to teachers and peers
  • Adapt interpreting style to match student language level
  • Prepare for specialized academic content
  • Support student independence while ensuring communication access
  • Follow educational interpreting best practices
  • Document services as required
  • Participate in educational team meetings as appropriate

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum 3.5 EIPA score
  • Master's degree
