Job summary

Fullmind Learning is seeking a Virtual Computer Science Educator (IL Certified) for a remote 1099 contract role. You will teach computer science courses to students via the district platform, collaborating with an in-class facilitator and district staff.

Requires US work authorization, IL CS certification, and at least 3 years of teaching experience. A laptop, webcam, and reliable internet are essential; background check and teaching demonstration are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States and hold an active Illinois CS teaching certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator.
• Must have a laptop/desktop, webcam, headset and reliable internet access.
• Participation in virtual skills teaching demonstration and background check as part of the application process.
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach the curriculum on the district's virtual platform and attend district PD and faculty meetings.
• Record student progress and partner with the in-class facilitator who is physically in class with students.
• Use the educator portal to view and select placement opportunities as they become available.
• Create engaging lesson plans aligned with the class curriculum and promote student learning.
• Keep track of student grades and performance throughout the course timeline.

Daily Rate: $36-40/hr; rates are negotiable and subject to change.

Fully Remote, 1099 Contract Opportunity

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 8:44 AM CT

Start Date: 8/13/2026 and run through the end of the school year (5/27/2027)

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position following the school district\'s calendar. Immediate start dates are based on available placement opportunities upon completion of the application process.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States and currently hold an active, Illinois state-issued Computer Science teaching certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator.
• Must have a Bachelor\'s Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
• Participate in a virtual skills teaching demonstration + submit a background check as part of the application process.
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus!
