Job summary

Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet is seeking a Community Outreach Liaison (COL) to engage with local communities and promote outreach efforts. In this volunteer role, the COL will represent GAfSP, coordinate volunteer support, and educate the public about the organization’s mission. This role requires a commitment of 25-30 hours per month and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred experience includes public relations or military public affairs.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting military service members, veterans, and their pets.
• Ability to collaborate with like-minded individuals.
• Preferred experience in public relations or military public affairs.
• Comfortable using MS Office Pro (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Commitment to at least one year in this volunteer position.

Responsibilities

• Represent GAfSP at the state level with media contacts.
• Educate communities about GAfSP’s mission and programs.
• Identify and maintain a list of potential events for outreach.
• Coordinate with event hosts for GAfSP's participation.
• Prepare and submit monthly Volunteer Service Hours report.
