Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Virtual Care Registered Nurse (RN) for day shift, full-time employment. The role provides professional nursing care and clinical support to assigned patients via virtual and remote platforms, with emphasis on accurate assessments, care coordination, and patient education through EMR systems.

The position requires an active RN license (compact where applicable) and BLS within 14 days of hire, plus a minimum of three years in medical/surgical inpatient nursing.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing (compact license).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer before direct patient care.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in medical/surgical inpatient nursing.

Responsibilities

• The Virtual Care RN provides professional nursing care and clinical support for assigned patients through virtual and remote care platforms.
• Accountable for patient assessments, care coordination, patient education, clinical documentation, and ongoing patient monitoring using EMR and other healthcare tech.
• Establishes collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to promote quality outcomes, safety, and continuity of care.
• Adheres to organizational policies, nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and privacy guidelines for safe, compliant virtual care.
