Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is seeking a Virtual Care Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across diverse populations in an acute care setting. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, intervention, and critical thinking with strong collaboration in a virtual care department.

Requirements include an RN license, 3 years acute care experience (8 years preferred in PCU/ICU), CPR within 30 days, and proficiency with Epic.

Qualifications

• 3 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is required
• 8 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting; PCU or ICU experience preferred
• Nursing Diploma, Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing are required or preferred depending on level
• CPR certification required and Obtain CPR within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across diverse patient populations in an acute care setting
• Perform monitoring, assessment, planning, intervention and critical thinking for acute care patients
• Ensure documentation and reporting compliance for Sentinel Events and Serious Incidents
• Coordinate care and discharge planning in collaboration with the care team

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma Nursing is required Or


• Associate's Degree Nursing is required Or


• Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred


• 3 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is required


• 8 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting; preferred PCU or ICU experience is preferred


• Experience in inpatient adult acute care (not procedure areas, not neonates) is strongly preferred.


• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required And


• CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Every 2 years. Obtains within 30 Days is required


• Able to promote patient safety and a positive patient experience


• Flexible and comfortable with a changing and dynamic work environment and schedule across all days

What You Will Do

• The Virtual Care RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to various patient populations and includes the following key elements:


• Utilizing monitoring, assessment, planning, intervention and critical thinking skills to care for acute care patient populations


• Providing evidence based, patient-centered assessment, medication management, care coordination, education, discharge planning and interventions for diverse patient populations and clinical conditions


• Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements for Sentinel Events and Serious Incidents


• Compliance with regulatory, department, channel, state and federal requirements

Virtual Care Registered Nurse – Virtual Care Department

Work location: This position is located on site at Texas Health Dallas – 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231
Work hours: PRN- Days. This prn role offers as needed shifts which on days 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Shifts may be available any day of the week.
