About the job Virtual Assistant (Two-Month Contract)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and tech-savvy Virtual Assistant (Two-Month Contract) to support our online fish store. This is a two-month contract role that includes part-time training (10am to 4pm from Jun 5 - Jun 25) and full-time (9am to 6pm from Jun 25 - Sep 1) work. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, patient with customers, and capable of handling tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound customer calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone regarding orders, shipping, and general questions
- Enter customer orders into the company website quickly and accurately
- Track orders and provide status updates to customers as needed
- Escalate urgent or unresolved customer issues to the appropriate team member
- Follow up with customers to confirm order details or delivery satisfaction
- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions
- Provide administrative support to the team as required
- Stay up-to-date on product offerings, store policies, and procedures
- Contribute to improving customer service processes through feedback and suggestions
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks related to the position as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
- Must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be available to train part-time: 10am to 4pm from Jun 5 - Jun 25.
- Must be available to workfull-time: 9am to 6pm from Jun 25 - Sep 1.
- Strong phone etiquette and a calm, professional tone.
- Patient, friendly, and customer-oriented approach.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
- Previous experience in virtual assistance or remote customer service highly preferred.
- Familiarity with e-commerce or order entry platforms highly preferred.
- Experience handling high-volume communication in a customer-facing role.
- Basic understanding of order logistics or shipping processes.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
- Must have a Windows computer (Windows 10 or newer) that is less than 4 years old.
- Two monitors and a high-speed fiber network or Starlink internet.
- Compensation in USD.
