Job Information:

Summary:

Under the supervision of the designated supervisor, the Athletic Trainer performs duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction to provide patient care given in accordance with the organization standards. The Athletic Trainer assures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, smooth patient flow, instructs patients about procedures, treatments, and needs, and ensures medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly.

Position Responsibilities:

Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs, chief complaint and history of present illnesses, and preparing patient for provider exam. Provides patient education on their diagnosis and demonstrates home exercise programs. Applies casting, splinting and durable medical equipment under the supervision of the physician.

Screens and directs patient calls according to established protocol. Contacts patients about prescriptions and testing results as directed by and under the physician's supervision.

Performs daily regulatory testing as required and documents accordingly, to ensure that clinical equipment is accurate and compliant.

Maintains par level of clinical supplies for facility.



Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

1 year experience is preferred.

Required Education:

Graduate of an accredited Athletic Training Program with Bachelor's degree prior to fall of 2022 and Master Degree required after.


Training/Certifications/Licensure:

Must have fulfilled all requirements of the NATA Board of Certification Inc. exam and state licensure or regulation as determined by the State of New Jersey.

CPR/BLS Certification.
