Purchasing Agent

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent for our Purchasing Department. The ideal candidate will bid on new projects, maintain scopes of work, track blueprints and design changes, among other responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Solicit bids
• Pre-qualify subcontractors
• Set up and monitor option costs and sales prices
• Maintain and update current budgets
• Distribute revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
• Prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review
• Input original Direct Costs budget
• Execute lot starts and perform final review of all unit costs

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
