Job summary

The Front Royal Police Department is seeking Virginia DCJS certified officers to join a full-time team operating on 12-hour shifts, averaging 13 days per month. The base pay starts at $57,000 annually and is negotiable based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED. (required)
• Virginia DCJS certified law enforcement officer experience (minimum)
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a patrol vehicle on assigned shift and observe traffic violations and disturbances.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents.
• Conduct investigations of crimes, accidents and other incidents.
• Engage with community members to foster positive relationships and public safety.
• Enforce traffic laws and issue citations; serve warrants and make arrests.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents and actions taken.
• Participate in in-service training programs.
