Virgil seeks an experienced ECVC attorney to serve VC-backed startup clients, handling governance and day-to-day corporate matters in a fully remote setup.

You will draft documents for equity rounds, interface with founders daily, and lead paralegals while helping refine internal processes using AI tools.

Qualificações

• 2-6 yrs post-JD with real ECVC/startup corporate experience
• J.D. and active bar admission
• US citizen or Green Card
• Comfortable with AI tools
• Excited to build a firm from the ground up

Responsabilidades

• Primary ECVC counsel for VC-backed startups (pre-seed to Series B) handling board consents, equity grants, hiring/firing, and day-to-day corporate matters.
• Draft and review governance documents, SAFEs, convertible notes, and priced-round docs for Delaware C-Corps and PBCs.
• Interface with founders daily in a subscription-based model.
• Delegate to and manage paralegals.
• Help engineers refine internal tools and workflows.

Virgil: bootstrapped, fully remote startup law firm + back-office platform founded by Eric Ries and Jeremy Howard; 33 people, 20% MoM growth.

Comp: $200K-$300K base (moving to Cravath scale by end of Q1); Meaningful undiluted equity in lieu of bonus (bootstrapped). Location: US-based, fully remote. Visa: Not open to visas (US citizen / Green Card).

• Delegate to and manage paralegals

• Help engineers refine internal tools and workflows
