Job summary

Citadel Aviation in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an Aircraft Technician I to perform basic repair, maintenance, and modification tasks on VIP/VVIP aircraft under FAA regulations. You will assist senior technicians, follow approved data, and develop familiarity with aircraft systems and tooling.

Work closely with leads to ensure on-time, airworthy re-delivery, maintain safety standards, and build proficiency through hands-on practice and required training in a fast-paced repair station environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of aircraft maintenance experience or completion of an FAA‑approved Part 147 program.
• Basic understanding of aircraft mechanical systems and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance procedures and safety docs in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks under direct supervision; assist senior technicians with engine and flight-control checks.
• Support disassembly/reassembly of mechanical systems including flight controls, hydraulics, and landing gear.
• Follow work instructions and SOPs to complete tasks accurately.
