Job summary

The Flint School of Performing Arts is seeking a driven Violin Instructor to teach all ages from beginner to advanced levels, under the String Department Chair. You will guide students, ensure performance-readiness, and build strong rapport with families while coordinating schedules and communications.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in the field and experience preferred, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusive music education.

• Experience teaching diverse styles of music preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide students using a variety of teaching methods and materials that foster growth and creative exploration.
• Ensure students are performance-ready and understand translating practice to public presentation.
• Establish a good rapport with students and families, encouraging open discussion.
• Manage logistics, including communication with office staff, lesson scheduling, registration, and regular communication with families.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
