Job summary

Headliner Music Academy in Rocklin is seeking an enthusiastic Violin Teacher to join our growing team. You will provide engaging private and semi-private lessons, using our curriculum, and help students develop technique and musical expression.

This part-time, flexible position offers a supportive environment and opportunities to perform with students, coordinate with parents, and contribute to events while building a lifelong love of music.

Qualifications

• Must clearly communicate musical concepts to students.
• Advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to violin.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities.
• Experience teaching youth or beginning musicians.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Headliner Music Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Violin Teacher to join our growing team in Rocklin. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about music, enjoys working with students, and can make learning violin both engaging and rewarding.

Our instructors work with students of varying ages and skill levels, with a strong focus on creating a positive environment where students can build technique, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.

Position Responsibilities:

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using our own curriculum and cover song arrangements
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere
• Help students set goals and track their musical progress
• Assess students' readiness to participate in bands, ensembles, or other performance opportunities
• Assist at school events
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and academy staff

Requirements:

• Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts effectively to students
• Must have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to primary instrument
• Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
• Experienced performer (either solo or group)
• Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians
• Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
• Ability to pass a background check

Experience teaching additional instruments is a plus, but not required.

Headliner Music Academy offers the opportunity to work a flexible, part-time schedule in a fun and supportive environment alongside other musicians and educators.

We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other administrative aspects of lessons and classes so you can focus on what you do best—teaching and inspiring students.

Compensation is hourly and based on education, teaching experience, musical expertise, and availability.
