The ideal candidate is a current college music student or recent graduate with strong violin skills, the ability to follow directions, and a team-focused mindset, plus background check clearance.

Qualifications

• Current college student or recent graduate majoring in music performance, music education, or a related field.
• Strong violin proficiency.
• Ability to follow instructional direction and collaborate as part of a teaching team.
• Background check clearance required.
• MA State Teachers license.

Responsibilities

• Support & lead instruction during after-school violin classes and rehearsals
• Work with small groups or individual students on technique, posture, rhythm, tone production, and repertoire
• Assist with tuning instruments and basic equipment setup/breakdown
• Reinforce rehearsal expectations and positive student behavior
• Help track attendance and student participation
• Support performances, showcases, and culminating events as scheduled
• Communicate professionally with staff and students
• Model professionalism, reliability, and enthusiasm for music education
